April is when the Sun transits through the Fire element of Aries and the Earth element of Taurus.  February and March were months that were hard to move forward and get things done.  We are finally going to see an opening in April.  Mercury, the planet of communication, thought, transportation and travel will turn direct April 4th and then Mars, the planet of energy, passion, and ambition will turn direct April 14th.  It will be a time of getting things done and knowing that life if finally moving forward!

Check out the following important dates to put on your calendar:

April 4th  -  Mercury, the planet of communication, thought, transportation & travel moves direct in Pisces, the sign of intuition, creativity, and compassion.

April 4th    -  Venus, the planet of love, money & beauty enters Gemini the sign of flexibility, curiosity, the chatter, and the flirt.

April 6th    -  Full Moon in Libra (beauty, diplomacy & relationships).  A Full Moon represents energy for releasing, letting go, endings and completions.  A Full Moon can also mean a culmination of hard work which ends in celebration and maybe even moving into a totally unexpected direction.   Signs most affected by this Full Moon will be Libra, Aries, Cancer and Capricorn.

April 14th  -  Mars, the planet of  passion, energy, anger & action moves direct in Virgo the sign of  modesty, health minded, meticulous & practical

April 17th  -  Mercury, the planet of communication, thought, transportation & travel moves into Aries, the sign of independence, passion, aggression, and leadership energy.

April 21st   - New Moon in Taurus (practical, sensuous, determined)  – A New Moon represents new beginnings, planting seeds, and setting intentions for the coming month. This is also a time when you may need to let something go to make room for the new and improved coming into your life.  For Taurus, this is your one new moon of the year so you may want to set time aside to make a plan for the coming year. What do you want to see in 2012? Write it down and then take action during the coming months to make it happen. Signs most affected by this new moon will be Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius and Leo.

Aries March 21 – April 19:

Happy Birthday Aries!  When your ruling planet, Mars, moves forward in mid-April you will slowly but surely start to get your energy back on track.  The area where you can make the most progress is in your work environment.  Also, if you’re looking at changing your diet and health routine for the better, look at starting a new program during the New Moon, April 21st.

Taurus April 20 – May 20:

With Mars, the planet of energy, passion, anger and assertion going direct April 14th  in your party house and Jupiter, the planet of good luck, optimism, and growth still in Taurus it’s time for you to get out there and make life happen!  April is your time to get the fires going again and move your agendas forward expecting good results.  Remember Taurus, April 21st is your one new moon of the year so you may want to set time aside to make a plan for the coming year. What do you want to see in 2012? Write it down and then take action during the coming months to make it happen.

Gemini May 21 – June 21:

After a long couple of months of taking two steps forward and five steps back, April should reveal that all your efforts weren’t in vain.  Jupiter, the planet of good luck, expansion and growth is on its way to your sign in June, so do the leg work now to start seeing the benefits in June and beyond.

Cancer June 22 – July 22:

This month you are at the starting gate to take action in your life.  Things have not been going as planned but that is about to change after Mars goes direct on April 14th.  Those with birthdays June 29th – July 3rd will be dealing with Pluto, the planet of transformation and change.  This isn’t an easy transit so try to be gentle with yourself during this time.

Leo July 23 – August 22:

Many Leos will feel the surge of energy coming back to them by mid-month.  This will especially be felt in the area of your career.  Get out there and close that deal you’ve working on, court those clients you thought were impossible to get.  Life is about to get real interesting…

Virgo August 23 – September 22:

Finally, Mars, the planet of energy, passion, and assertion will go direct April 14th in your sign.  Get ready for a jolt of energy back in your life.  It will almost feel like you are awakening from a long deep sleep so you’ll be a little off your game so be patient with yourself, things will fall into place nicely.

Libra September 23 – October 23:

Libras have been dealing with a lot of challenging energy for a while now.  I’m sure you’re asking when is your break coming…  Well the big break is when Saturn, the planet of burdens, responsibility, limitations, and lessons leaves Libra and that will be in October but in the meantime April will be a little better with energy moving forward and not holding you back. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other Libra and you will see and feel the tides changing.

Scorpio October 24 – November 21:

Scorpio the energy is going to start to pick up this month but not too quickly.  This month you may be surprised by running into an old flame or a dear friend you’ve lost touch with.  Enjoy the connection and understand that there is a healing taking place with this meeting for both parties.

Sagittarius November 22 – December 21:

Sag, April will be very much like March in terms of your attention being on work.  Mercury will move direct on April 4th which will allow for better communications.  Mars will then move direct in the career sector of your chart on April 14th to give you a boost and finally get things moving at a normal pace.  Patience is still the key but just know that your hard work and dedication is not in vain.

Capricorn December 22 – January 19:

Capricorns with birthdays from December 28th – January 2nd are really feeling the strong affects of Pluto.  The Universe is asking you to see where your life may need to take a different direction.  This can be very uncomfortable especially if you’re resistant to the change.  Just remember there are no wrong decisions, it’s just your judgment on the decision that complicates matters.  There is no perfection, just life, so get out there and live it without the harsh criticism.

Aquarius January 20 – February 18:

You may have a very philosophical outlook this month.  With the strong earth energy in the air you are being pulled to look at your legacy, your family, and your talents and where you fit in all of that.  Take the time to reflect on your place in the world and your family, and by doing that you just may adjust your next move to fulfill your new found revelations.

Pisces February 19 – March 20:

For all you Pisces out there, you should definitely feel the effects of your ruling planet Neptune that moved into your sign last February.  It’s harder to concentrate and stay focused and with Mercury, the planet of communication in Pisces as well, life feels very foggy and unpredictable.  Nothing feels quite the same.  The energy will shift in mid to late April but until then your money houses are lit up so make sure you are taking care of your financial obligations and do not procrastinate.
